Hello to our wonderful clients, friends, and community.
For many years, you’ve known us as McAuley Scanlon Hair. I was incredibly proud to co-found and build this salon on Upper Baggot Street, and I am deeply grateful for the journey we’ve been on and for the incredible trust you’ve placed in us.
Recently, the salon has turned the page to a new chapter. I, Muiris, have taken on the sole ownership of the business, and I couldn’t be more excited about our future. This marks a fresh start, and it felt like the perfect moment to give the salon an identity that reflects not just one or two names, but our entire, brilliant team.
It’s no longer about the names on the door; it’s about the collective spirit within it.
That’s why I am so thrilled to officially introduce you to Ninth Studio.

Why Ninth Studio?
The new name is a deliberate choice to celebrate what makes our salon truly special: our team. Our real strength lies in our collective—the shared passion, the collaborative spirit, and the way we all work together to create and support each other.
We are located at Number 9, and the simplicity of that felt right. The number doesn't represent a person; it represents our home.
The most important part is "Studio." It captures the creative, warm, and client-focused environment we’ve built. It’s a space where artistry happens, where our talented team comes together, and most importantly, where you can feel comfortable, heard, and completely cared for.
What Else is Changing?
Honestly? Nothing but the sign on the door.
The heart of the salon remains exactly the same. You will be greeted by the same friendly faces and receive the same dedicated care from your favourite stylists. Our commitment to creating beautiful, elegant hair in a warm and welcoming space is, and will always be, our highest priority.
This isn’t a departure; it’s an evolution into the identity we have all built together.
